ORANGE COUNTY, CA – – Today Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas announced receiving the endorsement of three Orange County Supervisors in his campaign for reelection. Supervisor Andrew Do, Supervisor Michelle Steel and Supervisor Lisa Bartlett all endorse District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.
The endorsement is a significant blow to the recently announced campaign of Todd Spitzer as every colleague on the board of Supervisors allowed to endorse is backing District Attorney Tony Rackauckas for reelection. As a candidate for Superior Court Judge Supervisor Shawn Nelson is prohibited from making an endorsement in the election.
In offering his endorsement Supervisor Andrew Do stated, “District Attorney Tony Rackauckas has a 40-year track record of standing up for public safety. The times demand a D.A. with the right experience and judgment to deliver justice to the guilty, defend victims and pioneer progressive tactics and programs to respond to the needs of our community. Voters have consistently trusted in Tony Rackauckas as their D.A. the past two decades, which is why I wholeheartedly endorse him for re-election in 2018.”
